...the new journey with my pen begins. and oh i've got company. i will not only be writing things based on my sentiments and my wild imagination i will also try to incorporate things with facts, explain some things with the help of psychology (i'm not really an expert i just would want to share some of the things i have learned in school.)

Where are you now (HONOR SOCIETY)
I thank you for coming into my life. If I have not met persons like you I may be the weakest person in the world! You showed me how to be strong. Thank you and I love you!
Cave of Life..,
First, life is a journey of a man in a very dark cave. Simply because I'm in the dark part of my life (well not really as dark as dark, I guess you know what I mean). I'm in the middle of the ocean of confusion, swimming in the sea of doubt. I don't really know when this dilemma started but all I knew is I woke up one morning with this unusual feeling of emptiness! At this point in time I'm traveling in a dark and gloomy cave. I can't see a thing and uncertainties are laid before my eyes. I keep on stumbling down due to the fact that I am bumping objects those that can hardly be seen due to too much darkness. But I'm certain of two things though, and that is I' m on a journey and I'm gonna be at the finish line.
Second is that you can't feel the essences of life unless you're on the opposite side. With this I mean that one can't appreciate the beauty of being in the peak of something unless he is below it. It's like the feeling of being lived, you can't really appreciate it unless it's lost. Or simply having a dozen of doughnuts, you can't really say it's sweet and mouthwatering if you still have it.
Third, life is like a pageant. It is composed of many portions namely: production number, festival outfit, casual wear, sports wear, talent portion, formal wear competition and question and and answer portion.
- Production number as we all know is the part where candidates are glanced by the audience for the first time. This is where they introduced themselves. This can be equated to the moment you are brought into existence to the world;
- Festival outfit competition is the part you show to the world how beautiful an indigenous clothing will be provided it is carried with constant projection. It's like making life more beautiful through doing the extra thing and going the extra mile;
- Casual wear competition is the part where you show the real you;
- Sports wear competition is where one gets to show how adventurous life can be;
- Talent portion is expressing who you are;
- Formal wear competition is more than just the suit or the dress but rather attitude.
- The question and answer portion highlights the competition for this is the part where on gets to answer tough questions. It's like facing life's difficulties and trials in which in that moment you have to answer the call of life. It's can equate the part of life wherein you need to make moves to make life better or worse depending on the answer

Eagles players honor Michael Vick with award for courage
Today, the Eagles announced that Michael Vick was the 2009 winner of the Ed Block Courage Award, an honor given to a player who shows courage in the face of adversity. Vick's teammates voted for the award, thus demonstrating how tone-deaf and out-of-touch NFL players are with reality.
According to the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation Web site:
Each year, the Ed Block Courage Awards honors those National Football League players who exemplify commitments to the principles of sportsmanship and courage. Recipients are selected by their teammates for team effort, as well as individual performance.
The Ed Block Courage Award recipient symbolizes professionalism, great strength and dedication. He is also a community role model.
One recipient is selected from each NFL team, usually for things like coming back from injury, doing good work in the community or long, dedicated service to a franchise. I'd be surprised if the award's founders intended for the honor to be given to someone doing community service as part of the terms of his parole or for showing courage in the face of reporters asking legitimate questions about federal crimes.
The Eagles' vote is not only a slap in the face to the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation, but to the other 31 players who won the award for their respective teams. Some men are truly deserving of the honor, like Ravens safety Dawan Landry(notes) who was nearly paralyzed last year, but has come back in '09 with four interceptions and a touchdown or Mike Furrey(notes) of the Browns, who does extensive volunteer work in his community. Adding Vick's name to the roll makes the award seem illegitimate and meaningless.
Apparently Philadelphia players confuse Vick handling dogfighting questions and booing with a measure of class as some sort of courage. That Vick only got a chance to show this mild courageousness because of the extreme cowardice it takes to murder helpless animals isn't something that crosses their mind. They confuse Vick's desperation with some sort of integrity.
I'm all for second chances and find myself rooting for Vick to redeem himself both on and off the football field. He's served an appropriate sentence (and then some) and I see no reason for him to keep paying for his past transgressions. But I also see no reason to celebrate his character.
Michael Vick(notes) is very much a work in progress. A few years from now, I hope he will be deserving of such an honor. At this time, however, he has only just started down the path to redemption.
The Best Tech Deals after holidays
The Best Tech Deals After the Holidays
2009’s Top After-Season Sales and Bargains
Photo: Getty Images |
Courtesy of countless post-holiday retail and online sales, Dec. 26 can be the one you score an incredible after-season deal. With consumers gorged to their limits and stores still chock full of overflowing merchandise, retailer desperation reaches a peak, and discounts can easily outstrip the pre-Christmas sales.
Looking to use this opportunity to snag that shiny new smartphone, laptop or HDTV? We've compiled tips to help post-holiday binge shoppers stuff their empty stockings full of today's hottest gadgets and futuristic accessories for a fraction of what they would have cost as little as 48 hours sooner.
Shop smart — buy the gadgets and consumer electronics everyone else isn't.
After-holiday sales typically depend on desperate retailers trying to unload stock that didn't move before Christmas. While that means you won't find hot items that sold out early (i.e. Barnes & Noble's Nook eReader) suddenly under deep discount, you can discover plenty of great deals on equally exciting high-tech gifts that others may have overlooked.
"Look for products in categories that haven't been selling as well, for example desktop PCs or digital music players without Apple or iPod on the box," says Digital Trends' own technology analyst Scott Steinberg. He also recommends keeping an eye on highly-competitive categories where prices reliably drop just weeks after a new product comes out, like CDs, DVDs, video games and Blu-ray discs. In addition, Ben's Bargains' content manager Ken Hoo says that sales of navigation systems have reached a standstill this year, leading to superior pricing for today's shoppers.
Look to retail stores for premium discounts.
Online stores offer many of the best deals in the run up to the holidays, but afterward, brick-and-mortar stores face far more pressure to move stock from their cramped aisles.
Call ahead to make sure retailers carry the item you're looking for. In addition, don't quit looking just because you've found the right item at a single outlet. Even if you end up finding multiple vendors that offer the same price, some retailers offer added perks like free delivery, complementary accessories (e.g. carrying cases and magazine subscriptions) and cash back in the form of store gift cards.
Hoo also believes that traditional retailers offer shoppers the best shot at deals in the days following Christmas, but urges them to buy with caution. Many clearance items may take the form of returned items, factory models or refurbished goods, which aren't always in the same shape they originally arrived at the store in.
Use the Web and online resources to discover the best deals.
Even if you don't utilize the Web to purchase high-tech gadgets and appliances, it's imperative that you seek out its wisdom when doing supporting research. Picking the right bargain isn't as hard as it sounds, with an endless variety of user-friendly deal-hunting sites and resources at your fingertips. These tools can help you cut through the clutter, find the best savings, and know what you're getting yourself into long before ever setting foot inside a local retailer.
Begin shopping the day after Christmas.
You're best off braving stores the day immediately after Christmas, when sales will be going on strong, but shelves won't yet be entirely picked over. "Retailers are not going to wait," says Hoo. "They want to have all these sales out there where they're ripe for the taking."
Steinberg agrees that sharp consumers will act immediately. "Rather than wait until the New Year to shop, you'll find better deals in that window after Christmas and before January," he says. From a retailer's perspective, that's the magic hour to sell, sell, sell, before year-end accounting books swing shut like jail cell doors on the first of January. If you can hold back from buying before Christmas, that's when retailers are going to try to goose those numbers, and if you're there to help them, you stand to be handsomely rewarded.
Don't wait for "the next big thing."
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in early January is Ground Zero for announcements on an array of next-generation gadgets that manyk shoppers hope will push down prices on current-gen goods. Don't be fooled, however: These unveilings won't deflate current market values anytime soon. Unless the item is question is about to ship or presently hitting store shelves, current prices won't budge.
"These announcements let people know that certain devices will be coming, but usually prices will only drop after a product is actually released," says Hoo. "That's when vendors want to start clearing older models out."
Says Steinbert: "Smart shoppers will hit the ground running and take advantage of post-season sales to stretch their holiday cash further. Act now or forever hold your gift card..."

Christmas far away
Right now I am trying to figure out the reason for this feeling within me! I just hope that before the 25th of this month (December), I can figure out why! It could be that I'm just insecure, or my heart is still not open but rather locked which I think makes me hard for me to grasp happiness and joy nowadays!

Save A Paper, Make a Difference
These institutions or also known as the school, is somewhat like a training ground for every individual in which we are taught here how to read, compute, talk and most especially write.
Books are being produced for us to be guided in developing our reading skills. Activity books for mathematics for us to be able to solve are also made. And especially papers are being produced so that we can write on a nice surface. For these materials to be produced, trees are being cut approximately thousands of trees. If we continue on using paper to enrich our knowledge, there is a tendency for the trees to be extinct. This will cause a major problem in the stabilization of our precious mother earth.
We are now facing global warming, every individual has their own way of saving the earth. Some said we must recycle or reuse things, some would suggest reforestation these are indeed fabulous ideas. However as a concerned citizen I do have my own suggestion and that is to stop producing books and papers. We are now in the so-called year of keyboards and monitors why not use these high tech tools in quenching our thirsty minds? I am not implying not to use books and papers in our pursuit of education. My point is simple yet clear, utilize the tools brought about by the advent of technology and let mother Earth flourish and bloom to its fullest beauty.
Fellow life forms in this planet please do save a paper and let the forest become greener so that the earth our only home will become a better place to live on.
Taken for Granted
Oh come on people, have you not felt the signs yet? The world is about to end, but what are we doing? Instead of doing things to save it, we are even contributing to its destruction! When would be the time for us to do things right, I mean do the right things? There is no other time but now!!! I have done so many foolish things before which had contributed to mother Earth's doom, but here I am begging, let's save our Earth now. This is our only home!

The Voice Within
I can easily gain friends and has the guts to entertain people, but unfortunately there is this part of me that longs for something. Even if I'm with many people I still feel alone. I really can't figure out the reason but deep inside I'm unhappy. And sometimes I tend to make fun out of other people just to make myself laugh. I know that I have been posting many positive articles as to how we should face life but beneath those lines are my insecurities and frustrations. Life is never cruel to me but I'm being cruel to myself.
There is this one person who said to me after he had read my blog, he said "you know?how I wish to be like you. Full of life and full of positive energy". But what he does not know is that those posts are intended to cheer me up and lighten my insecurities in life. I may have given the best pieces of advice to those who are weary and insecure but what a contrary, I can;t even let those pieces of advice sink in to my system.
Honestly I'm so lost! It's as if in a dark cave longing for a light, thirsty for something I can't even identify and hungry for things I wish I had.

Thank You Friend
That needed nobody.
And I didn't expect
For you to come my way.
You bring the light,
In my life that is so dark,
And I learned to fight,
Knowing your on my back.
Thank you friend
For being there,
And showing that this is not the end,
And life can be better
You taught me to be strong,
And to stand on my own
Even when things go wrong,
You've told me that I can go on.
You are really a treasure,
Worth keeping
My friend I'm sure
That you'll not be leaving.
Love at First Dance
Accompanied with your glance,
I was so nervous
Because my feelings are becoming obvious.
It feels like floating in the sky,
Every time you'll greet me "hi!"
With just one smile
I can walk a hundred mile.
My days are even brighter,
And my burdens became brighter,
Because of the comfort you give
The pain I felt was relieved
I hope that you'll accept my love,
That's as pure as a white dove,
I hope you'll not deceive
The love I want to give.

Letting Go..,
In our lives, change is constant
Love and weather changes.
Life dies and feelings fades, but we have to let go.
The Earth may be round but the horizon is clear,
To move on we must let go.
Things are found, things are lost.
We tend to worry that much to the things we value a lot.
But we forgot that those were never ours. only lend by the Lord our God.
Love was felt and now has fade
Our hearts was hurt and mind puzzled.
But we will move on
As we let go of things that bother our thoughts.
Life was made to be lived the right way
Though sometimes detour happens, but it still goes on.
Letting go means to go to the future
And leave the past.
A True Friend's Breeze
I felt alone, and then my mind suddenly dripped
To a memory of a friend whom I knew
From a long time ago who was then in my life so new.
As I take a sip of the wine on my hand,
I suddenly felt the breeze of a friend who once held my hand
To shout out loud the feelings I have inside
And for my fear in life's hurdles to subside.
Her breeze seems to caress me in my lonely times
And lifted me up in my weary times.
She made these rhymes in my mind
As I try to reminisce a friend, who was one of a kind.
A true friend's breeze is unique
Bearing such characteristic.
Back then I was shattered, and she made me whole
And held my hand and pull me out the hole.

Despite Imperfections
But to my surprise just when I thought I already know my self, I realized I do not really know my self.
"Some characteristics listed on the board are very impossible for me to have", I said to myself. But the flattering part is that those characteristics which I thought I don't have was possessed by me according to some of my classmates. There is this girl who hit the very soft part of my heart, basically because she described me as not a discriminating person which I thought is not true. But when she continued, I realized that though I'm not perfect I'm still considerate. And being described as humble, I am now challenged to live that life and be revered the right way. This situation did awaken me and instilled in me the thought that it's not because we carry ourselves and live our own life we know ourselves a hundred percent. There are some thing within us that we are not aware we have, this characteristics are only seen by the people around us and we may not be able to know that we possess those until they tell us. It was so flattering but challenging. By this I mean, that because of that event I am now summoned to be a better me. In other words, this served as an instrument to live my life the right way.
In conclusion, I can say that you're not out to please anybody but you'll be surprised when you will know that people feel blessed and fortunate because of your presence. Do not say that you are the worst person in the world, because despite imperfections, some people can appreciate the perfection you have and you do in your own pace. In other words, you can only know and measure yourself when people will give you the statistics and standards of measuring oneself.

The Unforgettable Battle
I was walking alone in the streets of Polomolok after going to the internet cafe with some of my friends. I opted to roam around for a while because I know I will be bored if I will be home that early. Then, I met three guys whom I thought could be good friends. We were talking as if we knew each other. While we were talking, the other guy stood up and wrap his hands around my neck, I started to feel nervous, until they declared hold up. I was in shock. I could hardly utter any word, and it didn't occur to me that the event was real. I had not find the time to shout for help, for a certain weapon (that I could hardly identify) was being pointed to me. I got so scared that I felt like a puppet obeying each and every command they give. They took my cellphone, my USB flash drive and my wallet with two hundred pesos. I was really afraid, what if they will be taking the most precious thing that I have, my life. Luckily they didn't, well if they did I my have not posted this article. I still would like to thank God for that.
Despite the thing that had happen to me, I pity those people. Because they committed a crime and hold up me for a very low amount. I said to my self they're so pitiful. They made a sin not worth suffering. I do not wish them ill, but I pray that one day life will be able to teach them the lesson they must learn.

Patience
Well, true indeed. I am an advocate of this principle, basically because I do believe that in this life things are hard and never easy. Come to think of it, if things were that easy do you think all of us will prosper? I doubt.
The moment I decided to live with my aunt and her family I told myself that this will not be as easy as it looks like, especially knowing the fact that she (my aunt) is strict. Well what can I do, I got nothing to send me to school. The first few months of my stay was indeed a challenge which I think I could not surpass. I get to wash dishes, clean the house and look after my cousins. These chores are so hard for me during the first time. I am not used to this kind of living. But luckily I have adjusted already.
Back then, I always get what I want with just a snap but fate was not that good for me and my family, we lost everything. That was the chapter of my life which I enjoyed and I regret some part of it. But what else is new? Life is comprised of a never ending UPs and DOWNs. Now I am facing the new chapter of my life bringing with me the principle "patience is a virtue".
If there is one great thing I can impart o people it would not be the knowledge that I have acquired in the for walls of the classroom but rather the experience I had that taught me to strive and be patient. If in my previous years in this world, I had lived life in a I will call instant life, I now regret it. With the lesson I got from that snap life I will live life the way it should be. A life lived for others and a life facing challenges with patience. With this chapter of my unusual life I now know that patience takes a person to places and helps break the horizon.
Be patient and life will be smooth...,

Building Good Human Relationship
10 Commandments of Human Relations
-
Speak to people.
There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting.
-
Smile at people.
It takes 72 muscles to frown, only 14 to smile.
-
Call people by name.
The sweetest music to anyone's ears is the sound of his own name.
-
Be friendly and helpful.
If you want friends, you must be one.
-
Be cordial.
Speak and act as if everything you do is a joy to you.
-
Be genuinely interested in people.
You can like almost everybody if you try.
-
Be generous with praise...
and cautious with criticisms.
-
Be considerate with the feelings of others.
There are usually three sides to a controversy: Yours, the other fellow's and the right side.
-
Be eager to lend a helping hand.
Often it is appreciated more than you know.
-
Add to this:
a good sense of humor, a huge dose of patience and a dash of humility. This combination will open many doors and the rewards will be enormous.
This are just commandments, I am an advocate of this one. But I firmly believe in the essence of being true to oneself. It would be better if we live with these commandments but I think there would be no better way of making friends or building relationship to others but being ourselves.
Last Minute Rush
This situation manifests the kind of thinking most Filipinos have. Unlike any other culture, we tend to do things during the last minute. I can't really explain why, but the point is this attitude will not bring us to a better horizons. As it is said "don't wait for tomorrow, what you can do for today". Unfortunately, this quote lies only in our heads, but not running across our minds nor circulates in our hearts. I know we have our own reasons why we are doing this but please bear in mind that if we are to do things this way, we must be patient to deal with it.
Like in my case, I want to do many things but a notion in mind hinders this purpose in which it is the idea of the so-called come what may. Like in doing my report I already have GREAT plans as to how I will conduct it but on the process of doing it I tend to think "WELL THE DEADLINE IS FAR, WHAT'S THE HURRY!". The consequence of that, I have not realized what I planned. Very devastating isn't it? "I got all the time in the world, but I did not do something to realize my plan, what a shame!".
I guess this habit (maƱana) is a result of the bahala na concept. We Filipinos (well not all, fewer than many I guess) are so ambitious but not so good in doing things for it to be realized. We have great plans and very innovative mind, but again it just stays in our mind and never transmitted to actions. This is very shameful, right? Some of us are willing to do amazing things for others but not for ourselves, we tend to exert more effort to do greater things for others and less efforts for ourseleves, which is not suppoised to be the case.
Bottomline, do things right away!

What Makes Life Beautiful?
I have posted a poll for me to know the answer to this question, because if I answer it myself then of course I'd stick to my own idea. And based on the poll, life itself is the one that makes it beautiful.
Well, I do agree on it. It's like saying that you love a person just the way he/she is. We must appreciate life the way it is created by God and we must not look up at things which would violate the rule of creation.
As what I have often emphasized, love life! Life is beautiful! There is no question to that. Its existence may be considered the greatest mystery known to man, but due to its presence we enjoy life. Of course, how can we enjoy it if we don't have it.
This post may be the shortest one but the point of this essay is to remind that life is beautiful despite the odds.

The Best Depression Treatment
Depression is not new to us. Each one of us has experienced it or is experiencing it. It is classified as clinical depression and often results to personality disorders
.
Clinical depression s a mental disorder characterized by an all-encompassing low mood accompanied by low self-esteem, and loss of interest or pleasure in normally enjoyable activities(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_depressive_disorder). In other words, this is merely a state of mind, in a sense that it results from being moody to having low self esteem. As a consequence personality disorder steps in. Personality disorders, formerly referred to as character disorders, are a class of personality types which deviate from the contemporary expectations of a society (.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personality_disorder). Meaning, this kind of disorder is being judge depending on the society’s norms and organization. One may be considered as deviating from the society when he can not contribute to the perpetuity of the so-called status quo.
If there’s an illness there’s a cure. As a suggestion I would like to revise the phrase “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away” to “a smile a day keeps the depression away”. I know it may be an amateur suggestion but that’s the simplest thing I can suggest to be treated from depression. It is in smiling that you are responding to the challenges brought by life in an optimistic point of view. One must bear in mind that puzzles are made to enhance critical minds in providing creative solutions and not for the reason everyone thinks – a burden. Depression is inevitable in nature and is just a corner away. But mind you, depression is just a state of mind. No person will get depressed unless he permits to be. The main treatment here is to take life easy but serious and do not expect that much. After all we are brought here not only to enjoy the wellness of life but also to tackle it’s bitter portion. Live life with a smile and let depression die.

Hardwork Pays!
It was just a game though, but however the point of life is there. Hard work pays! If I have not got the patience to wait in the marketplace for someone to hire me, I could have not earn that much. If I have not got the enthusiasm to click my mouse (which I named archie), same thing would happen. The bottom line is, in this life be it in a game or in the real world hard working people prospers. Since farm town resembles businessmen as to how they are goin to deal woth it, it needs hard work, critical thinking, and wise decision making. It's like living a real life in a virtual world like what I stated in my previous post.
With this, my faith in the phrase "patience is a virtue, and good things come to those who wait" strengthens. Since the very goal of farming is to earn, some avid fans of this game tend to cheat. I am an advocate of hardwork, thus, discouraging cheating on this kind of game, or even in reality. I know that I am not that clean but I believe in the phrase that goes "cheaters never prosper". True indeed, look what happened to PGMA when she cheated during the 2004 Presidential Elections, her reputation was brought to its doom. I know that I may be misleading you due to the unconnected fibers of my subject, but if you dig deeper, they may be unrelated or insignificant from one another but both complement the phrases "hard work pays and cheaters never prosper".
I don't hate cheaters, but I prefer hard working people.

Farm Town:RealLife in a virtual world
Winning: Losing and Gaining Something
In this world, it is always assumed that all things have their opposite. Beautiful for ugly, day for night, silent for loud, lose for gain, friend for foe, winners for losers, happy for sad and many more.
Gaining. It is because aside from the certificates and medals that are to be added in my collection, the trust and fame is there. And my self esteem is always being brought to a higher level. I always gain appreciation. And I am thankful about that. Since my first day at NDSCP I always long to be the best so that I could get noticed and woah, I did! And in winning I also did gain self security and confidence. It is in winning I feel appreciated.
But on the other side of winning I am losing something. And that thing is very important, it's belongingness. I feel alienated among my fellow students sometimes. That is basically because they feel I do not belong to the group they are in, despite all the honors I bring to my department I am sometimes not happy.
I just hope that after this post, they will welcome me as an ordinary person, trying to fit in but stand out. Trying to do ordinary things in an extraordinary way. I want to belong. How I wish to win not only the contest but as well as their respect and warmth.
Unexpected Help!
But on the brighter side, a not-so-good friend of mine helped me! I was so surprised. I really would like to thank that person so much. Among my fellow education students, it is with him I like to share my victory (I can't believe I'm sying this),and of course to the sweet couple of education who are known as mami and dadi, and to our department head as well. That victory of mine was a product of unexpected help. First, when Jayson Rey Ea helped me. It was indeed a shocking event, never the less, I would like to thank him. Second, my COMPSCI friends did help me, they did not let the competition hinder our friendship. Sometimes, it came to my thought "how sport they are!unlike other department, they are the most open minded!, how I wish that all department would be like them!" And the most touching part of my Victory, is when the COMPSCI celebrated after the pageant, they let me join them like I'm part of their department!
To all the person who I have not expected to help, thank you! And to that girl, God bless you!

Enemies..,
"Love your Enemies"
- Jesus
This means that we must not let hatred grew in our hearts. We must be able to forgive others for their short comings unto us. We must be able to consider others and we must not also ignore them even if they are our enemies. As said in the Bible "What you bind on Earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you lose on earth shall be lost in heaven." This is the biblical meaning of the phrase "love your enemies".
I agree on this passage, however, I have my own viewpoint about this.
For me, this phrase means that we must be thankful if we have enemies. They are blessings in disguise. Basically because, when we have enemies, we are expected to have detractors. And these people will bring out the best in us ,since they are the ones who will challenge and urge our capacity to do things. In other words, they aid in the process of molding the better person within us and also they help in the creation of a new you that will soon exist.
The picture I would want to draw is that we must look at our enemies not as burdens in our lives, but rather, blessings that may tear the weak personality we have but will be bringing into existence the better and worthy person from our hearts.
Our foes may create steps that will pull us down, but on the brighter side of their existence, they serve us our stepping stones to achieve success. Additionally, they play the role of a construction worker that will help us build a better persona instead of a terrorist that will contribute to the death we fear.
On the contrary, I would rather have friends than foes. However, I would like to thank God for lending me enemies that contribute in my path to self-discovery and success.
But please, do make friends rather than foes.

The Naked Eye..,
"The naked eye deceives"- Michael Dorris.
However, there are some things our eyes cannot see. Aside from the abstract things around us, it could not also detect the real intention of a person, nor it could recognize its true color. In other words, the opening quote of this post emphasizes that what our eyes sees does not assure that it is real. Moreover, the eye alone could not be relied in judging a character, basically because if we rely on it our judgment could be void. As such we must remember that what we see is not always what we get. Be careful of the good looking things that you see, they may possess the kind of evil you can not imagine they would have. And do not easily show your fears to horrible faces, they may carry an angelic heart.
Our eyes may be our weapons to survive, but mind you, when we keep on relying on it especially when making friends it may lead us to deception. I am not bringing out the negative side of the naked eye, but rather, I would like to warn my fellow visual species to be careful in the things you see. It is not an assurance that when a thing you see is tangible it is already real.
Nowadays, I have observed that many artists are on the rise most of them are actors, therefore, our generation is the era of actors and performers. The thing that I am putting into emphasis is that it is hard nowadays to tell who is who, who is what, and who did it. So the bottom line, use your eyes to see, use your brain to think but most of all use your heart to see the real things that require thinking.

Optimism's Reward
Every day we are faced to new challenges. Well, what else is new? As long as we are alive there would be problems along the way. But the best thing about having problems and being pressures, is that the best person within you arises and is brought into existence.
I received a forwarded message and its content in general is making use of an analogy of wines that are being produced from grapes due to pressure to and a person at his best despite life's inefficacy sometimes. In other words, the best within us is brought about by trials in our life. One thing I learned is that we must look at life in a positive perspective. It is because when one is optimistic enough, he can make burdens lighter, and sometimes it is not only his burdens that are being lifted but also others'.
The very price of an optimistic person is that he gets to have the best of life. This is so because of his attitude in which he always bite into the bright side of things. Instead of dealing with problems as burdens, he chose to face it as is it is only a homework to be submitted and that every equation has its own definite solution.
The bottom line here is that as individuals subject to problems, trials and burdens, we must be able to deal with it optimistically. In this way, you are making life a little lighter and placing it at its simplest state! Enjoy life as is you expose yourself to its beauty, as you explore is winding road and as you experience every bit of it and taste every flavor life may offer.
Stay positive and keep the candle burning. Oh and one more thing never let the road of life deceive you, try to lead is so that the destiny you would want to have will exist.

Every day we face a challenge to overcome,
Every moment we find solutions in our very palm.
Every problem will make us whole,
Every triumph will help us stand tall.
Victory is at stake,
That's why we avoid making mistakes.
But every error, will lead us to
The path we want to pursue.
Trials make us strong,
Even if life is not that long.
Friends keeps us going
Even if sometimes life is boring.
Life is never easy,
But it is always lovely.
Victory is what we are after
In life until forever.
The Road of Life
The road of life is full of twists and turns and sometimes a detour occurs. It is a long and a winding one. In other words it is full of uncertainties.
However, unlike any other road this road has no shortcut. You cannot easily proceed to adulthood without having passed the childhood (literally may be). And also in life people are searching for a well off life in which if it's possible they would want it instant. But they should know that before having a kind of life they must undergo a process mainly composed of aiming or setting goals, doing the desired acts, evaluating the acts done and finally enjoy the taste.
Aiming or setting goals. This step is the primary step(obvious!). In this step, an individual sets his mind to a certain goal he would want to accomplish sometime in the future. This is somewhat like a project plan, wherein you do make a pattern to follow in completing the project. You are listing the materials that are needed and total the cost of each item so that you can prepare for the expenses. It is like shaping your future, because when you have a goal you will never had a hard time in fulfilling a dream. In other words, it makes a person certain regarding what kind of life would he want to live.
Do it. After having a fixed goal things will follow smoothly. Of course you do the desired actions appropriate for your dream. For example, you want to be a good and famous writer then practice it. You must not stop on step one. Keep the fire burning within you so that you can achieve your goal. Never be discouraged by your failure. Failure is just there to measure your capability of achieving the dream you have within you. Never settle for anything less. GO FOR GOLD.
Evaluate it. In this step, you are task to check and evaluate the procedures you have done. this questions must be asked: have I done my best? have I not step on any one? have i done the right thing? was it appropriate?. If you could answer these questions, you can proceed to step four.
Enjoy the taste. Finally you have reached the goal. Reward yourself with the taste of success. Just don't mind your bruised knees. As they say the bruised knees belong to successful people.
Those are just some of the steps which proves that there is no shortcut in the road of life. Aside from a well off life people would wish to be happy. Not just an ordinary one but the intimate happiness known to man.
Just like having a well off life there isn't also a shortcut to happiness as they say. True indeed, happiness can not be easily achieved. Happiness is a noun which means a state of being happy brought about by good luck, fortunes, and even from simple yet meaningful things. Happiness has not got any certain steps in achieving it. But one thing is certain, if you want to achieve it work for it. And you must have the patience for it, happiness comes to those who believe that they can have it. I would suggest start by smiling. In smiling you are showing the world that you want to be happy. Smile despite the difficulties of life. A big laughter is an offspring of a heartily and well projected smile.
Life is really an unwinding road. Aside from its twist and turns, it does not have a certain meaning that would be acceptable for every puzzled minds. The mystery of its existence could not just simply be explained by biology. Life is a mystery that only our Almighty Father could define. However, its definition depends on how one perceives it. The reason for its existence depends on how one believes.

In Sickness..,
I have not expected for the to do that, especially Mr. Libay and Sr. Mike. I was so thankful that I was with them during that time. If it's not because of them I may have felt more than just sickness.
Being sick, I am supposed to be sad, but on the contrary I felt happier. Happy in a sense that even if I had not enjoyed the recollection, I have found out that some people do really care for me. I thank God for making me sick not because I will be given special treatment but because I have been taken care of of the persons whom I thought would not do such a thing. They sacrificed some of their time just to answer my needs. It is really true that God finds a way for us to know that some people do care for us so let us treasure our life and do good for others.
As a generalization, we must be thankful of the things God will give to us, be it in a form of luxury or sickness. It is because God knows the consequences of the things He has given unto us. He would not give us puzzles if we can not solve it. And also, I realized that some people are willing to help, all we have to do is ask for it. We must not be selfish in giving them the opportunity to be selfless. The bottom line is that, we must be sensitive to others who do care for us, we may not notice them but actually their hands are always open for us. They are always there with arms wide open.

Believe in yourself!
This idea was injected into my system by my teacher back in high school. She stressed to me its importance in my pursuit for education and also in my daily life. According to her, it is the best weapon anyone can have in order to reach the peak of success. "You can only face other people if you have already faced your own self", she added.
Being confident gives you the power to deal with others in a smart manner. However, I do believe that one can only be confident enough if he is being true to himself. Your behavior is a manifestation of your attitude. It is believed that people who tell lies most of the time are the insecure ones. They could not face the problems within them, that is why they tend to lie. Lying, in other words, serves as their defense mechanism. So, in this case self confidence and self esteem is missing.
Let it begin in you and let it flow to them. Being honest to yourself is one way of being true to yourself. As a consequence, you can develop self confidence for you feel secure, thus, giving you the chance to stand out. The point here is that there is no need for us to pretend and become the person whom we think could make us stand out. The key word there is being true to oneself, only then, you will have the guts as well as opportunities to stand out. Ain't it nice to be affirmed for being you, and doing the things you think you could? Isn't it more flattering to display the work you have done as a product of your idea?
Reflect on this:
Never dare utter words such as "I am a good - for - nothing person" nor say "I'm nobody". We are special in every way. Howard Gardner said "every child or person is a potential genius". There are things I can do that you cannot and there are things you can which I cannot. In other words, there is no point of comparison among humans. Biblically, we are created in the likeness of the Lord and we are wonderfully and fearfully created. Therefore, we are so special, we just have to belive in ourself by being true to oneself. Do your best, expect for the best and be at yuor best.
H-A-P-P-I-N-E-S-S
Each one of us wishes to be happy and find true happiness. Some search for it too much while some just wait for it to come through their way. But as they say there is no shortcut to it. It is not easy to acquire, for only you yourself could tell if you really are happy. There is no accurate step for it that is agreed by every one on earth. Well every one has their own happiness.
However, majority of us may agree on this events or moments that happiness can be found. These are in the acronym H-A-P-P-I-N-E-S-S.
Help others. We all know that it is in making others happy, we can make ourselves happy. A simple way to make them happy is to help them. Be there for them, show them that you care. Help may not necessarily be in terms of money or material things but it could be the simpler one which is lightening their burdens. Show them that they are not alone and that you care. Be selfless. Prioritizing others can make you feel happy. But love yourself first, you can not give what you do not have.
Appreciate the beauty of life. Life may be a tough challenge to us, but don't forget that life is very beautiful. Bear in mind that challenges are just spices of life. They are their to make life worthwhile. They are life's decor which make it attractive and intriguing.
Patiently deal with life. In life we face so many trials and hardships. What else is new? They're part of the beauty of life. They are essential in the shaping of better individuals that would fit for the purpose of living. They cannot be separated to life, they are part of the package. Our only choice is to face them in an optimistic way and patiently. Deal with it.
Pursue your dreams. Some people find the beauty of life in their dreams. There is no art aesthetically designed known to man except dreams. They serve as inspirations for every individual to continue living. Pursuing one's dream will make a person happier because he gives life a reason to be beautiful and worth living. It is in pursuing our dreams we could say that life is really tough but because of my dreams I will beat the odds. Having this thought would make a man even more courageous to face each and every trials of life.
Indulge to life's flavor. Life is multi - flavored it is a combination of all the ingredients tasted by man. In other words life is full of taste. The point is, enjoy the flavor without hesitation as life takes its course. Let life lead the way.
Neglect regrets. In life we all make mistakes. They are inevitable. But every one makes mistakes. Don't regret. It is never your fault things did not go as it is planned. Just think of this "some things are meant to be and some things are not.
Express yourself. Do not live in the dark. Show yourself to people. Show them that you exist. Communicate with them, share your ideas be interactive. Let people know what's inside you and live according to the law of men"live as on of them."
Show the real you. It is nice to live without pretensions. Don't try to be anyone else, just be yourself. Don't try to live another persona so that people may like you. Just be true to yourself and to the people around you. If they don't like you, fine! It's not your obligation anymore, as long as you have been true to yourself. It's hard to please every body.
Smile. It shows that you are happy and you accept each and every challenge of life with arms wide open. It is in a simple smile true happiness is born.

This is me
Well this is me. I am the kind of person who does not after attention from others nor I would pretend to be someone who I'm not just for many people to like me. I'd rather have few friends as a product of my true intention than have so many friends in false pretensions. I don't want to come clean, but that is how I deal with people, so that as early as possible I can determine the persons that may like me despite my being tackless and blunt. I'd rather show the true color of my personality as early as possible so that people around me would not wander if who I really am. I am telling you, what you see in me is the real me..,
