In Sickness..,

Yesterday August 17, 2009 I was attending the recollection when suddenly I feel hot, thus, making me unable to participate in the activities. Mr. Julius Libay (the Campus Minister of ND-SCP) and Sr. Michaela Bernardo O.P. advised me to rest. Aside from that they did take cere of me and Kuya Roel Tudlasan who also happened to be sick that time. They gave us all the care we wanted. And also one of the people who took care of me is Peter Paul Llerena and some of my friends also.

I have not expected for the to do that, especially Mr. Libay and Sr. Mike. I was so thankful that I was with them during that time. If it's not because of them I may have felt more than just sickness.

Being sick, I am supposed to be sad, but on the contrary I felt happier. Happy in a sense that even if I had not enjoyed the recollection, I have found out that some people do really care for me. I thank God for making me sick not because I will be given special treatment but because I have been taken care of of the persons whom I thought would not do such a thing. They sacrificed some of their time just to answer my needs. It is really true that God finds a way for us to know that some people do care for us so let us treasure our life and do good for others.

As a generalization, we must be thankful of the things God will give to us, be it in a form of luxury or sickness. It is because God knows the consequences of the things He has given unto us. He would not give us puzzles if we can not solve it. And also, I realized that some people are willing to help, all we have to do is ask for it. We must not be selfish in giving them the opportunity to be selfless. The bottom line is that, we must be sensitive to others who do care for us, we may not notice them but actually their hands are always open for us. They are always there with arms wide open.
